Every game measures sensitivity on its own arbitrary scale, so a sensitivity of 1 in Valorant is nothing like a sensitivity of 1 in Overwatch. What stays comparable is cm/360: the physical distance you drag the mouse to spin the camera a full 360 degrees. Two setups with the same cm/360 feel identical in the hand, whatever numbers produced them — match it, and your muscle memory transfers intact.
Each game applies its own yaw — the degrees of rotation per mouse count — and your cm/360 is DPI, in-game sensitivity, and yaw multiplied together. The converter derives your current cm/360, then solves backwards with the target game's yaw for the sensitivity that lands on the same distance. This is why eDPI (DPI × sensitivity) doesn't transfer between titles: it ignores yaw, so a pro's Valorant eDPI dropped into CS2 feels faster or slower, never identical.
DPI scales cm/360 directly — it is how many counts your mouse reports per inch, so doubling it halves every turn unless you halve the in-game sensitivity. Enter your true hardware DPI: the result is only as accurate as that number, and Windows "Enhance pointer precision" or driver-level acceleration will break the 1:1 match. Most games use a fixed yaw, so the conversion is exact; a few — notably Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege — scale turning speed with field of view, so match your FOV first and treat the result as a close starting point.
