Jitter Click Test

Measure how fast you can jitter click. Pick a duration and go — the timer starts on your first click, and you get live CPS, your peak one-second burst, and a chart of your pace.

Jitter clicking is a speed technique from Minecraft PvP: instead of pressing with your fingertip, you tense your forearm and wrist until your hand vibrates, and that tremor fires the switch far faster than deliberate presses can. Plain one-finger clicking tops out around 7–8 CPS; a practiced jitter click lands 10–14.

This test scores clicks divided by elapsed time, with no countdown eating into your run. The peak stat tracks your best rolling second, and the chart shows how your pace held up. Everything runs locally. For your relaxed baseline, run the plain CPS Test first.

How to jitter click

  • Grip lightly — a claw grip with the fingertip resting on the button. Squeezing hard dampens the vibration.
  • Let the tremor drive the finger, and keep the shake small: you only need enough travel to actuate the switch.
  • Aim with your arm, not your wrist — the tremor wrecks fine cursor control.
  • Work in 5–10 second bursts. The tension that makes it fast also makes it exhausting.

What counts as a good jitter click CPS?

CPSVerdictWhat it usually means
Under 6Normal-click paceStill pressing with the fingertip, not the tremor
6–8Warming upThe technique works, but the shake isn’t consistent
8–10Entry jitterA real jitter click — faster than deliberate clicking
10–12Solid jitterWhere most practiced jitter clickers land
12–14Pro jitterRefined tension control; hard to hold for long
14+EliteRecord-chasing territory — very few sustain it

Is jitter clicking safe?

Jitter clicking keeps your forearm clenched, and that strain is real — hands and wrists tire quickly, and aches after long sessions are common. Stop if anything hurts; no CPS score is worth a repetitive-strain injury. Butterfly clicking (alternating two fingers on one button) reaches similar speeds with less tension, and this test measures either technique.

Will jitter clicking get me banned?

Jitter clicking is allowed on most servers, including the big Minecraft networks — it’s a physical skill, and human clicking always varies from second to second. Anticheats flag machine-perfect input: auto clickers hold constant intervals at rates no hand sustains. The chart here shows the human signature instead — pace rising, wobbling, and fading. If your mouse registers clicks you never made even when clicking normally, run the Mouse Double Click Test to rule out a worn switch.
