Spacebar Counter
Press the spacebar — or tap the pad — and the count goes up by one, with no timer. The number is saved in your browser, you can start from any value, and Backspace takes one away.
Tap the pad to count, or click it and press the spacebar.
Stored in your browser after every press — close the page and it is still here next time. Nothing leaves your device.
Use the pencil to edit the count — pick up a tally you started on paper, a clicker, or another day.
Pressed one too many? Backspace subtracts one — a slip never forces a restart.
A spacebar counter is a tally counter driven by the biggest key on your keyboard. Because the spacebar is hard to miss, you can count without looking — laps, gym reps, cars past a window, birds on a feeder, stock on a shelf, people through a door. One press, one count. It is also a low-stakes spacebar challenge with friends: no countdown, just a number that climbs as long as you keep going. And because the count is saved automatically, today’s tally is still there tomorrow.
The counter adds exactly one per spacebar press — holding the key adds one, not dozens, because auto-repeat is ignored. Use the pencil to start from any value and continue a count you started elsewhere. Every change is written to your browser’s local storage, so closing the tab loses nothing — reopen and the number is where you left it. Nothing leaves your device. Alongside the count you get presses this visit, a live presses-per-second readout, and how long you have been counting.
Counter or speed test?
This page is a counter: no timer, no rank — it measures how many, not how fast, and it remembers the number between visits. For a score against the clock — live CPS, a rank, and a per-run graph — use a spacebar clicker instead.
